PINK CAMPUS REP - BRAND CERTIFICATION 2018

I didn't choose the PINK life, the PINK life chose me; this week, Victoria's Secret PINK flew me and 200 other girls to Columbus, OH for PINK Campus Rep Brand Certification (aka the best three days of the year). This was my second certification trip with PINK as I have been one of the two K-State rep for two years now, and in today's post I'm going to give you a peek into this exclusive event!

For those of you who don't know, the PINK Campus Rep position is a selective position that gives girls valuable marketing, event planning & execution, leadership, and social media presence experience while we promote the PINK brand on our campuses!

They kicked off the whole event with a speech from PINK's CEO, a private shopping event at PINK Easton (gift cards included!), and the "Pinkchella" festival, full of inflatables, photo ops, free food, a PINK model or two, and a ferris wheel - major FOMO, right? I had to miss the first night of certification because I was at a mandatory workshop that day, and I felt soo left out!

On day two of certification, we get involved with a bunch of fun sessions, from career conversations, to social media bootcamps. They brought in youtube influencers, an Instagram bootcamp with Teen Vogue, a "GRL PWR" panel with execs from Victoria's Secret, L Brands, and Teen Vogue, and more before ending the day with the PINK Rep Graduation Ceremony!

The PINK Graduation Ceremony is usually held outside on the Ohio State University campus, and it's kind of legendary. All the reps get special PINK Rep pins, certificates, and pink graduation caps to throw in the air. Afterwards, reps can get free items while shopping in the PINK bus, take photos with tons of cute inflatables and props, and eat dinner/dance with all your new bffs. This years highlights included a pink popsicle stand, ring lights to enhance lighting for pics, food trucks, and not one, but BOTH of the two PINK buses in existence!

On the final day of certification, we rotated between focus groups where we gave product feedback to PINK merchants and our VS PINK website photoshoots. We had a styling session to pick out and outfit our own looks, and then got to shoot with our co-reps for photos that will be posted on the PINK website!

Needless to say, PINK spoils their reps, and being a PINK Rep has been one of the most amazing, life-changing learning experiences I've ever had! They also do such a good job of inspiring girls to reach their potential and even offer internships and other opportunities for advancement within the PINK company for their reps.

I also thought I should mention that PINK Reps get incentives for performing well, and can even win incentive trips to the NYC headquarters, which is seriously such a dream! Additionally, I've made so many incredible friendships through this position - going to brand training is so cool because it's literally like being surrounded by 200 girls who are the exact same person as you!

Applications for PINK Campus Reps go live every spring - I will be posting a blog allll about how to apply and how to succeed in the position before next years applications go live!
