Look who's a big girl now!! I turned 21 this month (May 2nd) and celebrated with my first legal drink at Liquid Art Winery! This post is a little late, but life has been crazy hectic lately - I pack up and fly to NYC in 5 days, too!

I turned 21 on a Thursday, and the weather was insanely perfect and I was too excited to wear this pink romper from Goodnight Macaroon (linked below!) and really had a perfect day, despite having a three hour choir rehearsal that night!

Liquid Art is a winery in Manhattan, KS, and is somewhere I've visited and worked weddings at before, and I've always wanted to visit their tasting room! The winery has stunning views of the flint hills and really delicious, unique drinks; I tried a chardonnay, some hard ciders, and am pictured with a watermelon wine.

I wanted to share my b-day outfit details and talk about this hidden gem of a winery in Manhattan and also thank everyone for all the birthday wishes! 21 has been a blast so far - look forward to many mimosa-filled brunch blogs in Manhattan, NY!

XOXO - Talia

I have a biiiig life update: I have accepted an internship in New York City for the summer! Today is exactly one month from when I get to stuff my suitcases and jet off to the Big Apple! (If you don't get the title of this post, I'll be leaving Manhattan, KS - the Little Apple - for NYC)

While my wallet is already crying, I could not be more excited for this adventure! I will be interning with Patrick J. Clayton Productions, a full-service event design and production company that creates beautiful, unique events for major beauty and fashion brands, along with weddings and all other events under the sun. I can't wait to grow with this company and spend an exciting summer in the city that never sleeps!!

I've actually never even been to NYC, so this is pretty huge for me! I won't be alone though, as I'm living in a three-person studio with two of my PINK Rep girlfriends, Gianna (Youngstown State) & Arianna (University of Florida). The three of us met up on the PINK Rep incentive trip to LA last fall, and were stoked to find out we would all be interning in NYC over the summer, so we quickly moved from PINK Rep pals to roomies! Get ready for all the photos!!

That's the end of this post for now! I wanted to finally announce this life update and ask for your thoughts and prayers as I embark on this new (and kind of scary) adventure. Also PLEASE hit me up if you have any recommendations for me while I'm in the city! If you're missing me, know that I'll be back in The Land of Oz by July 25th. ;)

XOXO - Talia

I just got back from the best (and only!) spring break trip I've ever been on! I got to travel to the Pacific Northwest with some of my best friends and it was honestly the best break from my busy college schedule that I could've asked for! This trip meant so much to me because I hope to live in the Oregon/Washington area after graduation (the PNW has my heart) and the Oregon Coast is basically my favorite place in the world. Keep reading to see why! :)

Inside Seattle's Great Wheel

My roomies (Maggie & Paige) and I had the idea to plan a girls' trip to Seattle wayyy back at the start of the fall semester when we found out we all had a mutual interest in living in the PNW; I would never have guessed it would have turned into (such an amazing) reality! I did some digging, and found out that my aunt was willing to let us stay in her beachfront timeshare over break, and we booked our flights in November! The night after we flew in, we woke up early and caught the Amtrak to Seattle for a day trip to the city.

We spent the day exploring the city, visiting Pike's Place Market, eating gelato, shopping, riding the Great Wheel, etc. My favorite part of the day was spontaneously hopping on a bike-taxi - driven by a nice guy named Sherman - and getting a tour of Seattle, squeezed onto the back of a bike with my girls! Sherman pointed out important landmarks (and scene locations from "Fifty Shades of Grey") on our way to the Space Needle, and it was honestly the highlight of the day, not to mention cheaper and way more fun than an Uber!

My Aunt Mary's lovely Washington home

The next morning (Sunday) we woke up to enjoy some sunshine in my aunt's beautiful backyard before leaving for the coast - but not before getting in a mini PINK photoshoot! I actually had been assigned to do a shoot with a very short turnaround time (received outfit on Friday, photos due Monday), so we took 15 minutes to take some photos and you can now see me in this outfit on the PINK Nation App!

I was actually a huge fan of this matching leisure set and it was the perfect travel outfit for our 1.5 hour drive to the Oregon Coast!

Also had to get some photos with my cousin Ivy, who is basically the new PINK dog mascot. ;)

That morning my two best guy friends (who were visiting family in Portland) picked us up and we drove to Seaside, stopping for lunch in Astoria at "Buoy Beer Co", where you could observe sea lions through a glass floor in the restaurant! We checked into our timeshare around 5PM and watched the sunset on the beach from the resort hot tub.

Video from our first steps on the beach!

The view from our timeshare balcony

On Monday morning, we ate breakfast at Pig'n'Pancake and headed to one of my favorite places in the world, Cannon Beach. Cannon Beach and Haystack Rock were only a 20 minute drive from our timeshare, so we spent a lot of time there exploring the tide pools and admiring the monoliths.

Later that day, we hiked a 2.5 mile trail to a beach cove and spent an hour exploring the beach and hopping across streams until the tide came in. I wish we had had more time to hike; the trails in Oregon are gorgeous!

A stunning lookout point over the Oregon Coast

On our last night at the beach, we drove to Cannon Beach to watch the sunset. It was actually magical! It started raining and the sunset was incredible and we all danced around in the icy Pacific waves.

Click here to shop my denim shorts. I bought my sweater at a local boutique, but click here and here for similar styles; otherwise, just google "distressed confetti sweater" to find some exact dupes!

After our last night at the beach, we shopped and ate brunch in the area before heading back to Portland, where we also spent time shopping and eating edible cookie dough. We got to stay at my other Aunt's house that night before we flew home the next morning (a.k.a. before my heart was ripped out of my chest). In all seriousness, it was a dream of a trip, and I can't wait to get back (and hopefully relocate permanently) to the PNW!
